How We are Funded The Land and Culture Organization, its Board, members and all officers and members of sister organizations operate on a purely volunteer basis. All projects undertaken by the LCO are funded through our fund-raising campaigns that are solicited through the organization of cultural events, private gatherings, mailers and other general fund-raising practices. Our overhead expenses, until now, have consisted mainly of office expenses such as stationery, postage, public relations and the services of a Program Director. To date, even some of these, including several yearly travels by Board members to work sites for selection of projects, negotiations with contractors, etc., have been borne by those individuals whose responsibility it was to perform these functions. All participants to our summer campaigns pay their way including air tickets, their room and board on site and sightseeing tours organized by the LCO at the end of their 3/4-week work program. Veteran volunteers may participate in a future campaign at a discount, while veteran volunteers who are selected as group leaders for a given campaign, travel free and every effort is made to have their expenses subsidized by donors for such purposes. All those who wish to contribute, please mail your donations to the following addresses: In the Americas and Australia: Land and Culture Organization P.O. Box 1386 HOBOKEN, NJ 07030, USA Tel.: 1 - 888.LCO.1555 (201-454-1795) In Europe: Organisation Terre et Culture 5 rue de Clery, 75002 Paris, France Tel.: (33) 1-42-33-03-98 In CIS, Iran and Middle East: Land and Culture Organization Amenia Vardanands 5, Yerevan, Armenia Tel.: (374-1) 52-91-71 Fax: (374-1) 54-28-98 Note: another main source of revenue is the membership fee. All volunteers who have participated in an LCO summer campaign must become a member first and hopefully continue to remain members after their stint as a volunteer. To renew your membership or become a member, please contact us at the addresses mentioned above. |

"The second I got off the plane my eyes were filled with tears; tears of happiness, of excitement and tears of joy. Everything was so beautiful, the old churches, the children and the sight of Mt. Ararat gave me the feeling of home and comfort." Kevork Der Kevorkian, Shadvan 2004, Boston, USA |
